An extensive restaurant and hotel project developed in Carisio when Chef Piero Maio and his wife Eda opened a restaurant called La Bettola, which soon became a reference point for a loyal, affectionate, ever-increasing clientele.
The recipe for success was very simple, namely huge amounts of passion and professionalism leading to painstaking attention to detail, raw materials and the well-being of the clientele. Sons Alessandro and Massimo embraced the project enthusiastically and have been working alongside their parents managing the restaurant since 1988. Over the years, they’ve taken the quality and prestige of La Bettola restaurant out of the dining-room, too, developing an efficient catering organisation and opening other restaurants in Milan.

The La Bettola restaurant menu features a selection of typical dishes from Piedmont with a touch of innovation.
Menus are revised regularly and combined with excellent half-board and daily menu solutions.
The dining-room, which is both light and spacious, can seat up to 70 and there is an area specially reserved for private meetings, too.

The Maio family has been working in the bespoke catering sector since 1976. This was the year in which the Hotel and Restaurant La Bettola was founded in Carisio, located between Biella and Vercelli. It is still a symbol of high quality, typical Piedmontese cuisine today, skilfully combining tradition and new trends in Italian food preparation.
The Maio group began to develop when brothers Alessandro and Massimo chose to join their parents in the business.
